» Remove existing bath and high level shower area as existing occupants are beginning to struggle with access and egress in the showering area.

» Create a safe showering area in a household with retired occupants.

» Deliver a creative and stylish tile solution around ‘half height’ shower wall which transitions into a sloping ceiling.

» Incorporate safety grab bar at washing area.

» Install half height wood paneling throughout the bathroom area.

» Install new lighting and extraction system.

Action

» Removed existing bathroom suite including bath, high level shower cubicle, shower, toilet and basin.

» Removed existing floor and reconfigured all pipework to an under floor arrangement eradicating the need for pipework boxing in the new bathroom.

» Installed new 18mm hardwood flooring across the entire bathroom floor area.

» Removed all existing tiles and plastered in readiness for new wall tiles.

» Supplied & installed a 1700 x 800 ‘anti slip’ low-level shower tray.

» Supplied and installed large form grey porcelain tiles across the half height shower wall, incorporating a tiled radius installation transitioning from the wall into the ceiling. All edging fitted with 10mm flat chrome trims.

» Installed a decorative tiled feature wall at the showering area.

» Supplied and installed a high performing mixer shower and 1400 glass shower screen creating an ‘anti-slip’ low level safe shower zone.

» Supplied & installed a chrome grab bar adjacent to the shower allowing the occupants to steady themselves when standing under the shower.

» Supplied and fitted Tongue & Groove cladding on the dry walls in the bathroom.

» Install new lighting and extraction system.

» Decorated throughout with contrasting grey and white colour scheme.
